Cannot read property '$get' of undefined - After a fresh nuxtpress install

I'm getting: Cannot read property '$get' of undefined

After installing Nuxtpress inside an existing project.

It seems that nuxtpress is dependent on the $http module. For some reason it can't access it. I tried installing it separately and loading it as a module but no dice so far.
