Preloading placeholder

Hello,

I want to reproduce gatsby-like image placeholder prefetching but I don't understand why the placeholder is being requested AFTER the page loads. Using <NuxtImg/>

Current behavior: Placeholder image loads in a separate request after initial page load:

  1. Page loads (blank image)
  2. Placeholder requested and displayed
  3. Full image loads

What I expect : Placeholder loads in the same time the page loads

  1. Page loads with placeholder image
  2. Full image loads
