Does getMousePos actually need accessibility feature on macOS?

It warns and prompts accessibility settings but still returns seemingly correct mouse position, making the program unable to determine whether it has access or not. And in my case the script is periodically getting the mouse position and results in annoying settings prompting.

Is it a bug? or any workaround?
