Cursor selection disappears with animation repaint

When selecting text with a mouse in prompt, the selection disappears when the animation redraw is triggered.

Steps to reproduce:

1. Use default prompt that updates the clock
2. Select text with a mouse
3. On the next update, the selection will disappear

@kubouch - what terminal are you in? gnome-terminal keeps the selection for me, but other terminals might have issues.

Happens on xterm as well. I'm using i3 window manager.
