Bot crash after someone types some unicode characters in the tf2 chat

The bot crashes after someone types unicode characters like this ₪ for example.

Try to replicate this bug by running the bots on a private server and try different unicode characters i guess.

Same thing happened with Japanese text to me and with Chinese text to slurpybox(issue #1677)

Unsure what causes this, a "normal" cathook with the various logging options enabled doesn't rash due to this, so it may be related to the way we load cathook for bots specifically, or it has to do with the linux distro used.

Could it possibly be that those Unicode characters are just not supported by the Linux operating system you use? Considering that past issue had 2 completely separate systems with 2 different languages that caused the crash?

I also tested this and it seems to do nothing to me so it must be system related like what ben said:
