[Feature Request (?)] Is there a way to adjust the volume in Win10?

Open boomercore opened this issue 3 years ago • 4 comments

Some games do not have MIDI volume adjustment, and Win10 seems to agnostically mix it in with the rest of wave out for whatever output device it's pointed to. Is there a way to adjust the volume as is, or any 3rd party solution for MIDI adjustment in 10?

Maybe add the gain factor into the control panel widget?

Sorry, are you implying that's something that exists and I should be able to find it in the control panel, or something you plan on adding? I don't see anything in the control panel referring to MIDI or WinOPL3Driver. Hate to ask for a spoonfeed but could you show me what you mean in Win10 in a screenshot?

Not exists yet, but easy to implement and add. But not map into the system controller of volume, I am not sure how it could be implemented, or it probably requires more black magic. @nukeykt may know some. I don't use Windows since 2014, but run some VMs to debug Windows-specific things.

Well, I'd appreciate it and I'll test it whenever it's implemented. Thanks for your consideration.
