Precaching particles in CS:S

I'm attempting to set up the auras using the included 2j.pcf and the example config file, however, I am getting these errors:

Attemped to precache unknown particle system "fire_vixr_final"! Attempting to create unknown particle system 'fire_vixr_final'

Is this feature working with CS:S? The pcf file downloads when I join so it should be able to locate it.

I've also tried using various downloader plugins to no success.
