nProbe cannot access host NIC using Docker on Mac OS

Hi, will preface with I'm new to nprobe and Docker so please forgive any basic errors I've overlooked.

Wondering if anyone managed to get nProbe working properly on a Mac? Context: Docker for Mac is a VM that creates containers within that VM so using the --net=host line ntop provides sets the nprobe container network to the host VM network and not the actual (Mac) host network. Hoping someone found a work-around (Docker forums don't have any satisfactory conclusions)...
