Make UI improvements to make Livemarks easier to use
I have used livemark to migrate from previous firefox releases, but i cannot figure out how to use it in a new profile...
it works well for sites that have the <link> metadata, but some just can't seem to do that properly so i need to craft the feed URL myself... how can i add an arbitrary URL to livemarks?
i understand this supports OPML export/imports, but cannot find this in the user interface... what am i missing? thanks!
Hi! You can use the following steps to access the preferences page:
- Go to about:addons
- Go to the "Extensions" category in the sidebar (if not already selected)
- Scroll to "Livemarks"
- Click the
...menu - Click "Preferences"
Then Import/Export is under the "More Options" button, but there's also a dedicated "New Livemark" button where custom URLs can be added.
We could definitively make this easier though, by adding a dedicated toolbar button/menu and by adding a dedicated Import/Export button on the settings page. Thanks for reporting this!

Oh, strange, I didn't see that at all. And I do know about the add-ons page and the preferences section. It seems I either missed that or it changed after I created the first livemark! is that possible? it certainly looks like it because now i see that UI and it works fine! :)

Ah, that could be a bug, or bad UI in general, I'll see if I can reproduce and do something about it :)
As UI improvement, i propose a new button to refresh all entries in one click. Thanks
