Two feature requests (Disable emoji's and HDMI source)

Open Xitro01 opened this issue 4 years ago • 5 comments

Hello, first of all thanks for your time and effort in this plug-in, it works great.

I would like to request two features:

  • Possibility to disable emoji's and just show "on", "off", "unavailable".
  • When you're using a HDMI port of the TV, it show's "N/A - N/A". It would be great if there was HDMI support (so that it shows HDMI1 instead of N/A), with also the possibility to change the HDMI input source.

Thanks in advance.

HDMI source selection and detection is not possible using the Philips API.

Will take out the emojis at some point.

That would be great, maybe you could also make a setting to change N/A to something like HDMI, because when my TV is on "N/A" there is nothing else then HDMI that it could be on.

First of all, great work, great documentation. I hope to be available to contribute in the near future.

Secondly, I am using the source selection and appreciate the emojis to divide channels from apps. If you intend to remove the emojis please do so as an option.

To summarize my feature requests, would be nice to have these configurations options:

  • Disable emoji's in status: true/false.
  • Show "unavailable" as "off": true/false.
  • Show "idle" as "on": true/false.
  • Custom name for "N/A" source: "HDMI".
  • Volume options: slider/buttons.

This would make this plug-in perfect in my opinion. Hopefully you have some time to code this and I will test it all! @hypoflex: Maybe you have some time to code and help out? Good for your Github CV. ;)

Hi, perhaps it is possible to make a workaround to change the source to HDMI. .... I've found that an another developer [https://github.com/eslavnov/] has coded it with google-assisstant, but only for systems that supports it.
