Autoplay shortcut not pointing to doomlauncher exe

Win10 19044. v3.8.0 Doom Launcher with GZDoom source port.

Fresh install, I import my IWADS, they're detected automatically, I configure profiles etc and create autoplay shortcuts. The first shortcut correctly points to the doom launcher EXE (custom path, not program files), but all subsequent shortcuts are created with the target path specifying doom launcher in the launcher's APPDATA\Roaming\ directory, where there is no exe. These shortcuts are created rapidly, one right after another within the same instance of Doom Launcher, if that matters.

I installed doom launcher for myself, so there is a doom launcher folder in the roaming directory, but the shortcut creation logic appears to be borked when you make more than 1. After closing and re-launching Doom Launcher, subsequent shortcuts have the correct target path, so this may be some weird logic related to how I setup my profiles and the launcher needing to be restarted for the correct exe path to be captured.

Hi @agris-codes, I'm a bit confused about your setup - could you please list:

  • The DoomLaunchers you have installed, and whether they were installed using the Windows Installer, or are self-contained
  • Which one you were using that caused the incorrect auto-play shortcuts
  • What you've done in your profiles, and whether they apply to any of the incorrect shortcuts
