mapping key for custom keyboard and linux

Is it possible to assign a keyboard key to customize the virtual keyboard and hide it? I'm making a texas with raspberry pi with a custom texas keyboard

If not in mobile mode, you can just close the keyboard dock.

Are you talking about customization of the keyboard key -> nspire key mapping?
