custom vlan doesn't work when network is a distributed virtual port group

Hi Folks,

When i set vlan to "<Distributed Port Group Name>", it brings up the VM and sets "network adapter 1" to that port group, but it is in disconnected state. When i try to connect it says "Failed to connect virtual device ethernet0".

When i go and try it from vsphere web client and select the same port group from the list, it works.
