Question: Linked Clone - Datastore parameter ignored?

This might be a limitation in how vSphere handles linked-clones, but right now it seems that the data_store_name parameter is ignored if linked_clone = true.

Is that intentional / related to a vSphere limitation?

Sorry if this is something trivial, I searched to see if there's a vSphere restriction which would prohibit the use of a different datastore (different - not the same as the one the source VM is stored on), but I couldn't find anything.
