Is there any support for the Suggestions extension?

OpenSearch specifies an extension for suggestions (autocomplete). Does OpenSearchlight support this extension, e.g. by providing a simple input box that shows updated suggestions after each keystroke? If not, any other pointers to projects in this direction?

It does not currently. However, we are going to be starting work on providing search suggestions in our interface this week or next week and we will be investigating how to implement that so there is a good chance OpenSearchlight will be extended to support this behavior soon (possibly this week, almost certainly within the next couple of weeks).
