MPR generates deformed axial image in non-axially scanned volumes.
Describe the bug. What happened?
Here is the image generated in MPR module of Weasis, the crosshair has been set to AC and the axial slice aligned to AC-PC line.
Here is the same volume viewed in 3D Slicer, with the crosshair and slice orientation set to roughly the same with above.
Note the significant difference in the axial image across both renditions.
The raw volume has been scanned sagittally from left to right. The volume orientation property in 3D Slicer is as following.
What version of Weasis are you running?
4.6.5
On which system the problem occurs?
Linux

Thank you for your report. If the original series is coronal or sagittal, the geometric correction is currently not applied because some changes are necessary in the processing pipeline. These fixes #715 #716 #731 will be applied in a future release for coronal or sagittal series.
Meanwhile, we recommend using the axial series (which is primarily the original series) as a workaround.
Thank you so much for your response. It would be better if the MPR module could verify the orientation matrix and pop up a warning until a proper fix applied.
