Not installing on MacOS

Open vsakaria opened this issue 1 year ago • 5 comments

Describe the bug. What happened?

I have tried to install both versions of the weasis using the downloads version 4.5.0

My config is M1 silicone MacOS v14

I get an app unexpectedly crashed

FYI: I am not a weasis developer, I am a patient with a lower back issue, I request my MRI scan and found myself on github. I am a JS developer in my professional life. Lucky me

I would really appreciate the help as I need these MRIs to assist with my treatment.

What version of Weasis are you running?

4.5.0

On which system the problem occurs?

macOS

Please specify the exact system version, as this problem seems not directly linked to the Weasis code, but rather to a system issue, see https://blogs.oracle.com/java/post/java-on-macos-14-4

Try updating your system first

I have a similar issue on MacOS 14..1.1, M1, I'm upgrading to 15.0.1 now. I'll report on the results. I've tried 4 different JVMs, two different webstart clients, webstart jnlp provided by my neurosurgeon and the pkg on the Weasis website. I'm a Java dev, patient-user.

Sorry, but I don't understand the demonstration. Weasis does not require a Java installation as it is packaged with the application, and Java Web Start has been disengaged since 2019. Also, Java version 22 is required in the last version.

The next version of Weasis should integrate Java 23, which should completely correct this problem.
