Minimum size of markers ways and relations

Open borazslo opened this issue 9 years ago • 1 comments

When I zoom out to see a full European country all the nodes preserve a minimum marker size so at to make it easy to click on it. But ways and relations has no minimum marker size, so it become an almost impossible task to click on the only pixel in the image when the way or relation is small as a house.

(It can be an other excuse to work on the leaflet version. ;) ).

Related to #2.

Agree that small ways are hard to see and click on smaller zooms (esp. z11-12 IMO). The general way-styling can probably be improved, but it should also work for many changes in dense areas.

So there should probably be a size-dependant styling, e.g. based on the line/polygon pixel bounding box. Either by increasing the line width or replacing the line with a point symbol. E.g. Overpass Turbo has an option to style small features like POIs.

(And you guessed it, I think it's a waste of time figuring out how to best do this with the currently used OpenLayers version. But priority are #9 and #10, got stuck there before, will see how that goes.)
