Play store release
Hi, have you considered releasing p!n on the Google Play store? My friend wants to use the app but they won't install apps from third party stores.
While I would like this too (although I trust F-Droid) please be aware a Google Play Store account is a one-time payment of 50 Euros, which can be expensive for some
I do not intend to release p!n on the Google Play Store currently. Doing so would likely cause an increased support effort from my side (I would feel more obligated anyway). On GitHub and F-Droid on the other hand I think I can hope for a better understanding that this is a free-time project where progress is sporadic. User interface and app stability are not ready for a wider public release, as well.
@nproth What about using github releases? Having apk available would be great, instead of relying on third party to build source for you. Examples: https://github.com/Catrobat/Paintroid/releases https://github.com/M66B/FairEmail/releases
I believe it can be done automatically, too. And, https://f-droid.org/en/docs/Reproducible_Builds/ Could be useful
Well, I can try publishing the app on Play Store.
