How would I use this with forged alliance forever in manjaro linux?

Where are these steps meant to be executed? What is the context?

2. Start the game with capture enabled obs-gamecapture %command%.
3. (Recommended) Start the game with only Vulkan capture enabled env OBS_VKCAPTURE=1 %command%.

Also FWIW my laptop is an AMD APU (CPU+GPU same chip.)

The game capture OBS element doesn't show anything in the drop down for window options. I don't get any obvious errors, it just won't capture any video. I didn't see any problems in FAF's logs. I know the ancillary/adjacent stuff is working because I can capture with window capture instead of the plugin.

Am I doing this right?
