Default query result order setting does not properly apply

Chosing a default query result order (I've been testing with Created, new to old) causes the dropdown to properly show the selected sort order but the results are not actually properly sorted. Changing the sort order to something else correctly sorts the results.

I'm also experiencing needing to toggle on and off Render markdown to get it to work on first launch of Obsidian
