GTX 970 BIOS Flashing with nvflashk - PCI Subsystem ID Mismatch & Unexpected Program Exit

Open necromindcom opened this issue 11 months ago • 0 comments

Hey everyone,

I'm encountering an issue while trying to flash the BIOS on my GTX 970 using nvflashk, and I'd really appreciate some guidance.

My setup:

  • Monitor is connected to the integrated graphics.
  • GTX 970 is installed in the PCIe slot.
  • OS: Windows 11 Pro 64bit

When I run the flashing command, I receive a warning about a PCI Subsystem ID mismatch. The firmware image ID is 1043.850E, whereas my adapter's current PCI Subsystem ID is 10DE.1116.

To bypass the mismatch, I typed "YES" and proceeded to confirm the firmware update by pressing "Y." However, after the process starts reading the EEPROM, the program unexpectedly closes after a few seconds, returning me to the command prompt without any further messages or confirmation.

I've attached a screenshot for reference:

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance!
