Cursor ghosting to beginning of text?

does anyone know how to make that sort of half opacity duplicate of the cursor go away? Sometimes it disappears. It sort of flashes in sync with the cursor as it's backspacing.

Would appreciate the answer if anyone knows. Thank you!
