Woocommerce shop slug not picked up

The WC shop has QTS slugs set to "kauppa" for Finnish and "shop" for english. The hreflang tags are correct but All In 1 SEO and other plugins pick up the wrong slug and will show site.com/en/kauppa/ instead of the correct site.com/en/shop. Showing the wrong canonical breaks hreflang which is the most pressing problem.

Is this something that is controlled by QTS? Note: this is a duplicate of issue posted on Wordpress forums.
