Newest release messed up woocommerce and home page slugs

Open vlaskiz opened this issue 7 years ago • 5 comments

Hello,

Tried the newest update released a day ago and it seems that WooCommerce categories are being redirected to attachment pages. For example: http://sitename.info/pl/pl/kategoria-produktu/accesories/

instead of being redirected to WooCommerce category page it just opens attachment page which shows the images (named accesories.jpg) and blog sidebar.

When going to categories which are not named same as any existing image, site just throws:

"Nothing Found Ready to publish your first post? Get started here."

(not even 404).

Hi @vlaskiz , thanks for using qts and reporting back! On our tests integration with woocommerce is getting better but some issues are prone to happen.

To fix the first you must change the attachment slug, because its colliding with the category. but I can't reproduce that second error. Tested with latest wp, qts and qtx.

did you saved your permalinks?

Are you using any utf8 on the "kategoria-produktu" names?

utf8 works on the "accessories" part, but not yet on the rest.

Hello, I did save permalinks to ensure permalink rules are flushed.

"kategoria-produktu" is set for polish language to replace "product-category" (which is used for English) via "Options->Slug options" menu. It is a copy paste of slug, there's no special symbols used.

For some reason, certain pages and homepage is also redirecting to "http://sitename.info/pl/pl/products/pliant/"

"Pliant" is a product which slugs for both languages is "pliant". There's also image "Pliant32.jpg"

Once going to homepage and being redirected to above url it shows: "Nothing Found Ready to publish your first post? Get started here."

Certain pages are working and certains are throwing "Oops! That page can’t be found. 404" error. I have tried to apply different slug for both languages for the same page, but it still throws 404.

Another little side issue, when I am on "Settings->Slug options", there's (new?) notice box "To rebuild the slugs for all posts, pages and post_types. Visit QTS Rebuild Slug ". Once I click it, after redirect I get error "Sorry, you are not allowed to access this page.". Same when going from Rebuild page to options.

I can provide you access to website admin area and FTP if you would like to mess around and get a clearer picture, just need to know how can I pass you credentials. (I'll make the backup and subsite is currently under partial development anyway).

Hi again, that's weird. Yes, if you have slack, i'm on the wordpress.slack.com as "@pcarvalho" or you can email me directly at [email protected]

as for the new autobuilder, your user needs to have "manage_options" capability to access that.

can you confirm that?

My account is only one with full Administrator rights so the answer is yes.

I will gather credentials and will email them to you.

To clarify, I am able to use autobuilder if I manually navigate to it via Tools menu. If I use link to go from Slug->Options to QTS Rebuild Slug, then I receive the error.

I have sent you the email with credentials and additional information in it as well. Thanks for effort so far.
