Sharing cached images doesn't work on apps like gmail and google plus.

I had implemented a feature to retrieve cached images and be shared by social apps. It works fine for whatsapp ,but when the same image uri is passed to gmail then it is listed as an attachment with no image preview and when the mail is sent, it shows toast "couldn't send attachment". It isn't even recognized in case of google plus.

With the recent whatsapp update on 22nd may image sharing has stopped working.
