unable to set default quality profile via Firefox

Debian 9.8 (64b) running Watcher3 from Git source. Python 3.5.3.

I'm unable to set the default quality profile when using Firefox 65.0.1. Clicking the star doesn't result in a visible change, or an alteration of [userdata/config.cfg].

But, it works fine with Chromium 73.0.3683
