I was having this same issue even after deleting the files and reinstalling the plugin it was still giving me the error message. This issue ended up being the way the creator instructs you to install the file. Ideally simply clicking and dragging the data & obs-plugin folder will do the trick, but after taking a closer look I realized half of the files don't make the transfer over, so you have to be a bit more thorough and drag them over individually. Here's my best step-by-step guide on how I did it...

THOROUGH INSTALLATION GUIDE:

To fix the error pop-up at launch

  1. Delete all "obs face tracker" files found within your obs-studio file.
  2. Download the plugin zip folder
  3. Extract all files from the downloaded zip folder and open the folder "obs-face-tracker-0.7.2-obs28-Windows"
  4. Open a second File Explorer window and go to your "C:\Program Files\obs-studio" folder to make the following steps easier
  5. From the extracted "obs-face-tracker-0.7.2-obs28-Windows" folder; open the obs-plugins folder, then the 64bit folder, click and drag all items over to the corresponding Program Files>obs-studio>64bit folder
  6. From the extracted "obs-face-tracker-0.7.2-obs28-Windows" folder; open the data folder, then the obs-plugins folder, click and drag the obs-face-tracker folder over to the corresponding Program Files>obs-studio>data>obs-plugins folder
  7. Relaunch OBS and the error should not pop-up anymore.

Step by step didn't work for me. Also, unblocked the zip file before extracting it to no effect. OBS version is 30.0.1

@digitaldias, your OBS Studio version is different from the original issue. Please create a new issue instead of adding a comment.

By the way, the new plugin version 0.8.2 is compiled against OBS Studio 30. I confirmed the version 0.8.2 works with the latest OBS Studio 32.0.1.
