Windows crash v2.2.2

Open uxchjuy936 opened this issue 1 year ago • 2 comments

I installed both avx and avx2 version and each time I can install the initial setup but when it comes to choosing the model I download the model and when it's done downloading it checks the MD5 hash then it says "Already installed" then it crashes. When I try to relaunch it it wont launch. When I go and delete the model file and then launch it it works. I tried downloading almost every model and each one has the same issue.

On the 2.2.2 version.

I'm having the same problem on the non-AVX2 builds, including the i7–3840QM and i7-2600k (which do support AVX).

Got nearly the same, installed fine with the installer, chose the first model in the list, installed fine and then got a crash. When trying to restart it, I see the window opening and 1s after, suddenly closing. I can open back the app if I remove the model in C:\Users\me\AppData\Local\nomic.ai\GPT4All My config: Windows 10 21H2 (19044.2965), i5-3350P @ 3.10GHz, 16GB of DDR3 RAM, NVidia Geforce RTX 2080.

Like the others here I've had the same problem. chat.exe / llmodel.dll crash.

Was trying it on an old laptop: Microsoft Windows 11 Pro, Intel64 Family 6 Model 122 Stepping 8 GenuineIntel ~1101 Mhz, 16,199 MB RAM.
