Feature -- Allow for multiple scatterplots

Apologies @bmschmidt for the previous PR that had all the linting changes and apologies that on my first PR I only made changes to the dist file (still learning). This should make the necessary changes so that the multiple plot functionality isn't lost on the next build. Thank you for your patience!
