Use variable file as source of variable mappings in red.xml

A variable defined in a variable files cannot be used as a source of variable mappings.

It could make poeple (at least me ;) ) life easier if variables defined in a variable file could also be used to resolve parametrized path.

This opens (at least) the question of name redefinition, I think that variable mappings should override variables files.
