Background sync issue

Open Hiermur opened this issue 3 years ago • 10 comments

Hello,

background synchronisation updates only the "All Items" list. I have to sync manually, to update the feed list.

I'm on Android 10, greader 5.1.4 and The Old Reader.

S21 Ultra, Sync scheduled every hour but it does not sync at all. (only manually) I excluded the app from Battery saver already

Ok that's strange. Let me investigate it.

@Hiermur Sorry for the late reply. Could you tell what you mean by feed list? @Tjokmal Is it working for you now? It seems to work for me fine.

Hello noinnion,

I meant the list "Abonnements". The total under "Alle Artikel" is displayed correctly but the subscriptions are not updated - to do this, I also have to synchronize by hand.

@Hiermur Which rss service do you use (Feedly, Old Reader, InoReader)? Did you check the numbers with the service provider on the browser?

noinnion avatar Sep 20 '21 19:09 noinnion

I use the old reader.

If e.g. all articles have been read and I start the app after a while, then under "all articles" I can see the total of those synchronized in the background. If I then synchronize manually, the total does not change or hardly changes and the subscriptions are displayed correctly.

New observation: After articles that have been synchronized in the background (displayed via notification), the subscriptions are also displayed correctly if I briefly switch between all articles and unread articles.

Did you sync up the numbers with the web version and could you maybe provide a comparison screen shot please? Could you also send a video of the issue please for better understanding?

Hope it helps ;-)
