Technical Support Installing Open-Source Version of InfraNodus

Open deemeetree opened this issue 4 years ago • 3 comments

Please, be aware that our team is very small and as we don't have any investment backup we unfortunately cannot provide technical support with this free open-source version. We tried to make all the instructions as clear as possible, but you do need programming knowledge to make it work or you can also install it via Vagrant.

If you require technical help with this installation you can become the subscribers of InfraNodus cloud version on https://infranodus.com or join us on Patreon on https://patreon.com/noduslabs — in this case you get technical support included as part of your subscription and you are also supporting our research and development work.

If we worked for Google and this was our pet project things would be different, but in the current circumstance this is the only way we can make it work. Plus, we're happy not to work at Google and to be able to commit full-time to this work, but, as you understand, we need the resources to make it possible.

I understand paying for support, but I'm not sure how to access support after paying? I tried asking on the office line but they said you don't offer any support for local install even if I pay so I am confused...

EDIT: I got it working anyway, but I was ready to pay for support, I just couldn't work out how

Hi! I would like to thank your team for your great work. The instructions to install the open source version are easy to understand for a person who knows basics of software. But even after installing correctly (finally in a virtual machine )n macOS) after a total struggle I couldn't make it work. I cannot sign up and login to use and you get errors of 400 in the page with the caption of a 500 error! Which could be easy for a technical person to fix these errors but not anyone who is interested. And as there is not enough community support and documentation regarding these problems the only choice is to get the cloud version! I hope it will get improved and more clear soon and people can find the open-source local version easier to access.
