Potential Finance Model
Make the event entry fee 200-500 BDT instead of free for the following reasons:
- We can provide food on the night without having to deal with sponsors & recruiters
- Free events have a really high drop out rate, so we run smaller events for people who really want to be there. More fun all round.
All the money will is put towards food & drink with any excess money going into a pot for stickers & swag. Other NodeSchool chapters are doing it too ( https://ti.to/nodeschool/london-nov-2014 ).
@nodeschool/dhaka what do you guys think ?
Good idea.

I was actually going to ask you about the procedure soon.
Please tell me what to do to proceed.

@az7arul great idea brother. otherwise sponsors get so many times and concentration of the trainees. And its really good how the way you do.
Yes, it's good to independent, my trigger is 1
i second the motion. a fee will weed out people who are actually genuinely interested from those who are not. I despise how people just hit the yes button on RSVP without putting any thought to it
Good idea. waiting for next event.
I am eagerly waiting to join this event.
yes... good idea.
:+1: ofcourse depending on the situation. I dont know if we have a nodeschool workshop in a university and charge the amount. that will be a different context but... like the one that we had earlier we should ofcourse get a token money to use them for buying food and stuff so that only interested ppl join in and we have an idea of the event beforehand also interested ppl will not be in the waiting line :)
:eyes: for next event and agenda if any
that's great idea , i missed first event . and waiting for second event .
where are we on this?
We can start doing it from next events.
good idea
so according to the food that we are getting for the international day event. the burger and the snacks and the drinks for a single person it was 400/= BDT I think we should be charging this much if we get sponsor we should use them for swags so that everyone will be pretty serious.
As the number of events are increasing, 400/= BDT for every event may become little difficult even for interested people. 200/= BDT may be a good amount.
Umm we are not going to have day long events every time. For a day long one we will be requiring 400 given we dont have sponsor. But you r right we dont need that much for a normal nodeschool event. We can go for a mere 150 to 200 On Jun 1, 2015 12:46 PM, "Raihan Taher" [email protected] wrote:
