Invite Node.js tooling ecosystem folks to discuss user feedback
At https://github.com/nodejs/user-feedback/issues/32 we discussed inviting tooling folks to do public user feedback together at the Friday, March 30th session at 9am PT.
- @boneskull will coordinate tooling folks. Please +1 in this issue and try to come attend to the March 16th user feedback team meeting.
- Call for @nodejs/tsc @nodejs/collaborators and @nodejs/community-committee interested in participating and representing the Node.js project.
+1
(I think it's @boneskull rather than @b0neskull...)
the latter is my twitter unfortunately
We have plenty of tooling people at the modules team, maybe reach out to them?
I'll be there.
@boneskull Sorry about that. Fixed.
@benjamingr That would be great.
Speaking just for myself and not on behalf of any Node.js entity: It would be great to get feedback on https://github.com/nodejs/node/issues/19079 if any tooling folks have any. It can go right in that issue--doesn't have to wait for the March 30 session.
Pinging @nodejs/modules regarding that :)
Let's mention it in the meeting today!

Outcome of the the 2018-03-16 @nodejs/user-feedback team meeting is captured in https://github.com/nodejs/user-feedback/issues/38. Really looking forward to the discussion.
@dshaw Could you clarify the time for the "March 30th session" for those who are landing on this issue? They probably don't have that context already 😄
@bnb invited me and I should be able to make it depending on the time. :+1:

That works great for me. Can we have a calendar event sent out? My email: [email protected]
Sent you an invite @kentcdodds 👍
I can participate from Cypress side, even if in passive role - do I need an invite email? [email protected]
should work
I think I will be able to attend remotely, if possible.
@bahmutov you don't need an invite email, but I can add you to the invite to get it on your calendar if you'd like.
@developit yep, almost everyone will be joining in remotely 😁
i'd be happy to join in if i can make it
What kind of tooling are we talking here? I run the Polymer tools team, and would happy to join if it's helpful.
I'm in @nodejs/modules but also am a http://github.com/meteor/meteor core maintainer. Can my Meteor colleague @abernix attend as well? We are both pretty interested in Node's relationship with Node-based tool builders, and how we might establish lines of communication to help prevent issues like https://github.com/nodejs/node/issues/19274.
@justinfagnani by "tooling" generally we mean "command-line tools"
@boneskull agreed
@bnb if you can add me to the calendar invite, that would increase the chances that I am not going to miss it ;)
I'd like an invite as well 😋
Here here :)
mind asking where is the calendar invite?
@bahmutov sorry, didn't get your ping. Sent it to the email listed on your GitHub profile 😅
@jdalton @developit emails you'd like me to add to the invite? 😄
