Unit tests should run even without internet connection

I had no internet for about 20 min. Running the tests resulted into some failing tests.

It is less about being independent from the internet but the risk is there, that some tests, could fail in the future, because a webpage could be shut down. Or a webpage changes the logic and the tests depending on that specific behaviour does not test that specific edge case anymore opening door for regressions.
