Can't change volume when audio device set to "Pro Audio"

Open HRKings opened this issue 1 month ago • 1 comments

Description

I use a Astro 50X which requires the pipewire mode to be set to "Pro Audio", in doing so I cannot change the volume, changing the volume does not trigger the OSD and if inspected with some other way like with wiremix you can see that the volume does not change at all and don't reflect the current level either.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Change any audio device to "Pro audio"
  2. Try to change the volume
  3. Nothing happens

Environment

  • Distro: Arch
  • Compositor: Hyprland
  • Noctalia-shell Version: 3.3.1

Additional Context

In the log, if I try to mute/unmute this appears: ERROR quickshell.service.pipewire.device: Tried to change device route props for PwDevice(0x7f70a378be60, id=47/bound) with untracked route device 1

I don't believe Quickshell supports this yet. Because Noctalia depends on Quickshell for Pipewire integration, we can't address this on our end. You might have better luck asking about this specific edge case in the Quickshell Discord or git repo @ https://git.outfoxxed.me/quickshell/quickshell
