Banner Images with Transparent Backgrounds

Hello,

Love the banners plugin, but I'm having a hard time working with images that have a transparent background. What I expect to happen is that my Obsidian page color would show through the transparency. However, when I switch from dark mode to light mode, the banner retains a white background. Any thoughts? Thanks!
