Feature Request: Vertical Drag Scroll with custom buttom (well, the middle click button) [enhancement]

Open JoshuaIyalagha opened this issue 1 year ago • 1 comments

Description

Option to click and drag scroll using the one of the mouse buttons. This is typically done using the middle click button. I can see how some might want this too for horizontal scroll but I think the priority should be on vertical scroll.

Rationale

It would make scrolling very long documents and pdfs much easier. I don't have one of the hyper scroll mice. And normally prefer my basic scroll to be quite precise. It would also make browsing more enjoyable. On mac, the only browser that currently supports click and drag is Firefox. But with this feature, I would also enjoy using the chromium browsers and safari.

I understand that a "click and drag" already exists in mac mouse fix. So, I should clarify, I mean a click and drag auto scroll. The click and drag in mac mouse fix requires the user to continue moving to keep scrolling. Whereas what I am talking about means you click and drag and the page steadily keeps scrolling in the direction you intend.
