Safari zooming problem [bug]

Open teal024 opened this issue 1 year ago • 4 comments

Description

when zooming in safari with the mmf software, the whole webpage flashes when scrolling. when using other browsers like chrome, zooming is just fine. Using trackpad in safari to zoom is fine too, ONLY using mmf and safari together will generate the problem. So I guess MMF can't handle zooming in safari well.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Open safari
  2. Choose casual websites like youtube
  3. CMD scroll for certain times and you will see the webpage get stuck and flashed when scrolling

Context

Mac Mouse Fix Version: 3.0.0 MacOS Version: mac os Sonoma Mac Platform: intel i5 mac/ m1 pro mac both tested Mouse Model: logitech g304 / razer orachi v2 / logitech mx anywhere both tested

Hey guys, thanks for reaching out! I can't reproduce this at the moment. If someone could share a screen recording that would be very helpful for figuring out what's going on.

https://github.com/noah-nuebling/mac-mouse-fix/assets/94586647/3f013986-0953-4008-ac58-4232114c9a23 The zoom experience in safari is a mess, but in chrome it's smooth like butter. Test with logitech G304, no other driver or software, easy to Reproduce. Hope to be resolved in later release.

Hey there @teal024, thanks for getting back!

Does this still happen if you make sure you don't move the mouse pointer while zooming?

I can sort of reproduce this, but only when I move the pointer during zooming.

Yes, it still happens when my mouse pointer isn't moving.
