Add ability to disable Middle Button enhancement [enhancement]

Open yhnavein opened this issue 2 years ago • 5 comments

Description

Mac Mouse Fix in general offers 3 different fixes:

  • Smooth Scrolling (great!)
  • Back / Forward fix (great!)
  • Middle Button functionality (not so great)

It would be great if one could disable enhanced Middle mouse. This is the most frustrating part as it breaks a lot of stuff and things like closing tab in the browser with middle click work very strangely or does not work at all. Games are not playable at all, etc I prefer to have a standard Middle Mouse behaviour on Mac.

Rationale

I could have one app that fixes all of my mouse issues on Mac. Otherwise I would need one app for fixing back/forward buttons and second app for Smooth Scroll.

Middle Mouse fix breaks everything for me :(

Doesn't setting the option to the default "middle click" do this?

@Ixian There is no such kind of option.

Literally looking right at it in the options.

I also prefer default middle click option. I just removed the mappings from main menu of Mac Mouse Fix. It then stopped capturing the middle button and it worked like without the app.

This solution works. You have to remove all middle-mouse button mappings though, not only the click.

Uncapture button 3 - highlight everything under button 3 and press the minus.

The crappy thing to this work around is its all or nothing. It sets all button 3 options to default but at least you can retain other MMF functionality on other buttons.
