Create Summary table of data by fleet and area

It would be helpful to add a warning if a model has an area without data assigned to it. It is possible to accidentally not assign data to an area (e.g., by mixing up the order in a row of inputs), and can be difficult to hunt down the problem. Adding a warning would bring users closer to the issue more quickly.
We could also add this instead in the r4ss and/or SSI, but then it would only be available to people who use those tools.
Fleets are assigned to areas and data are assigned to fleets. There is no requirement that a model configuration have data for all fleets or have fleets in all areas. Of course, such a configuration would need fixed parameters to represent characteristics of those fleets or areas.

Do you think there would be a good reason for users to have an area with no fleets (and hence no data)? If it is unlikely, perhaps it makes sense to add a warning (but not an error), something along the lines of "Warning: No fleets assigned to area x".
If it is common for users to make areas with no fleets, then perhaps the warning would do more harm than good, though.
Someone might create a MPA with no fishing or surveys. But a summary table of data by fleet and area might be helpful

That's a good point! I'll rename this issue to be a summary table of data by fleet and area. But feel free to close it out if you don't think it's important enough to keep in the issue tracker. Thanks for taking a look.
