about:addons-memory 12 Non-Functional

Open DavidRoss opened this issue 8 years ago • 2 comments

Windows 7 Ultimate SP1 (x64) SeaMonkey/2.40

I downloaded the file aboutaddons_memory-12-fx+sm+an.xpi from [https://addons.mozilla.org/en-us/android/addon/about-addons-memory/] and installed it. When I request about:addons-memory, nothing happens. When I request about:about and then select about:addons-memory to appear in a new tab: the tab is blank. No, the tab is NOT about:blank; it is a gray window.

I previously used about:addons-memory 10 without any problems.

I have attached about memory 12 12Aug16.txt, which is a log that shows the changes from version 10 to version 12 to all files and the Windows registry resulting from installing version 12.

Not really a useful addition, but right now I also can't open about:addons-memory and don't know why. It used to work some months ago.

I see the "You are receiving this because ...", but I am NOT the developer. I sugtgest you try one of the Mozilla newsgroups, perhaps mozilla.general or mozilla.support.seamonkey.

Note that about:addons-memory 12 works for me with Windows 7 and SeaMonkey 2.46. I tried it just now.

If you are using the latest version of Firefox, however, your problem might be caused by the developers, who are in the process of killing all existing extensions. Soon after they are done, existing extensions might no longer work with SeaMonkey or Thunderbird.

Consider:

  • Most state mandate that drivers have liability insurance.
  • Employers are mandated to have worker's compensation insurance.
  • If you live in a flood zone, flood insurance is mandatory.
  • If your home has a mortgage, fire insurance is mandatory.

Why then is mandatory health insurance so bad??
