Support Gnome 47
Please add support for Gnome 47, or Ubuntu Oracular Oriole 43.10.
Environment: Another window session manager version 48, Ubuntu Oracular Oriole 44.10, Wayland.
+1 please
Fedora 41 came out, so that means that more people will need this
Is here already a schedule known?
A quick-and-dirty way to get this working in 47 is to just add it to the manifest file.
Open ~/.local/share/gnome-shell/extensions/[email protected]/metadata.json in an editor and add 47 to shell-version:
"shell-version": [
"45",
"46",
"47"
],
Save, log out, and log back in.
I switched back to Noble Nombat, made the change and at least it didn't break anything! I will test that again once I upgrade to Oracular Oriole, but I have been holding off due to unsupported apps like gnome-shell-extension-another-window-session-manager among others.

This did not work for me on Manjaro with latest Gnome version.

It actually worked. I had downloaded the latest extension version and I just had to rename the folder from "another-window-session-managergmail.com.v49.shell-extension" to "[email protected]". After reboot it worked fine. Thanks a lot!
Gnome 48 is out now. Will this hack still work?
@dik23 "Disable version validation" on store https://extensions.gnome.org/local/
Works fine https://i.imgur.com/posrqmT.png
Today I updated to fc42, at first everything seemed to be ok. But after rebooting and authorization I get a freeze. Maybe the problem is not in the plugin, but I advise you to try to work without it first, and then enable it. + make a backup of ~/.config/dconf/user
Hate to be that guy, but is this even being maintained anymore? Gnome 48 is already out, and Ubuntu 25.04 and Fedora 42 will both ship it within a few weeks.
And while it does work by adding the 48 to metadata.json, it's definitely getting kinda buggy.
Hi, everyone,
Sorry for the long delay! Over the past year, I've been intensely focused on learning French and didn't have the energy to update this extension.
But I finally have some free time now. I've merged @Arisamiga's pull request and just uploaded the new version to https://extensions.gnome.org. I think it will be approved very soon.
