Work items migrated as different type

Describe your issue:

It has been a couple weeks since our initial work item migration from one Azure organization into another. Today a user reported a user reported that an item that was originally a User Story in the old organization was created as a Task in the target organization. Upon digging a little deeper it seems there are other examples that were originally User Stories and show up in the target org as multiple different work item types, e.g. Task, Feature, Bug, etc. This is very concerning and I need to get this addressed as soon as possible.

Describe any Exceptions:

No errors were found in the log file. It seems the tool recognizes that it is a User Story so not sure how items are being created as different types in the target org. It appears there is a bug around implementing revisions when original work item is one type and changed to another. (See screenshot below)

I have attempted to delete and re-create the User Story work item and it was created as a Task. I reviewed the log and do not see any mention of Task or any errors. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Are you sure there aren't any changed types in the picture here. Did it start out as a Task and then the type was changed to User Story during the lifetime of the item?

It looks like it started as a Task then was changed to a User Story. I suppose this operation of changing types is not supported by the tool? I am able to deal with these updates manually so it is not the end of the world. Just wanted to make this issue known if it is not expected.
