Carousel click events are sporadic when using an Apple Magic Mouse 2 (A1657)

If you create a Carousel layout, the click handler doesn't seem to register every click when using an apple magic mouse.

For example, if I have the "Items Click Action" set to "Popup" and click the active slide, it will do one of three things, seemingly randomly:

  • Go to the next slide
  • Open the popup
  • Do nothing

Another example if you have Display Bullets enabled, clicking on the bullets at the bottom of the slider, it will do one of three things:

  • Go to the next slide
  • Go to the specific slide that was clicked
  • Do nothing

The last example, if you have Show Arrows enabled, clicking on the arrows will do one of two things:

  • Go to the next slide
  • Do nothing

This happens for both Saved Layouts and the block editor.

I am on macOS Monterey (12.1) and the mouse is a Magic Mouse 2 (A1657).

I have tried changing my mouse sensitivity, disabling scroll inertia completely disabling scroll but it doesn't seem to fix it. If I use a normal mouse or my laptop's trackpad, the slider functions normally.

Other click functions appear to work correctly, it's just the Visual Portfolio clicks that aren't working.

Using a normal tiled/masonry/grid/justified gallery the click events work correctly (as in the popup loads) it's just the slider that isn't working.

Happy to provide other information if necessary!

Hey.

Man, I don't have a magic mouse and don't have plans to purchase it :) Maybe someone can fix it someday and add a pull request to the repository.

Regards, nK.
