Photoatomic library problem

Open jlconlin opened this issue 5 years ago • 4 comments

The problem is that NJOY produces libraries up to 30th element (Zn). After Zn NJOY gives Segmentantion fault (core dumped) error. I am using NJOY21 1.1.0 but also tried 1.0.9 and NJOY2016 but they gave same error. I also used different versions of ENDF/B libraries and EPDL library in ENDF-6 format but it gave same error.

In general, I need photoatomic libraries for coupled n-gamma simulation in SERPENT which is needed for my MSc thesis. Because of that I need elements from Z=1 to Z=100 - fission products, U, Pu, other transuranics, construcion materials.

I attachments there are tape60, which is ENDF/B-VIII.0 library for 31-Ga- , and my input.txt.

This is likely related to the other Photoatomic processing issues.

I'm having similar issues with photoatomic data. I'm using NJOY21, and I'm not getting a segmentation fault, but:

At line 1002 of file /[...]/NJOY21/subprojects/njoy/src/endf.f90 (unit = 60, file = 'tape60')
Fortran runtime error: Bad value during integer read

This happens with all elements above Z = 30, with both ENDF/B-VIII and ENDF/B-VII.1 data.

And the same thing with ENDF/B-VI.

Also, I'm getting a lot of NaN's in the data for elements 12-19.
