That exists https://github.com/cirrus-actions/rebase. I'd prefer the local merge since it should always work, if there's an action for it, but automatic rebasing is a good second option.

I didn't think about that issue of the actions rebasing while I'm working. That could be annoying, though the force push shouldn't happen a lot unless a lot of PRs...
