LXC - `nixos-rebuild boot` doesn't work

I have done some simple tests and found out that using nixos-rebuild boot, followed by reboot (inside the container) doesn't apply any changes - the system boots into the old profile where "old profile" is defined as the last profile I applied with nixos-rebuild switch.

Any tips?
