Recover from evaluation errors

thanks for this tool which is tremendously useful, I use it on a daily basis. I wondered if it were technically possible to recover from errors ? like detect which package doesn't evaluate, override it and rerun the program with a warning ?

The usecase is : I am on nixos-unstable where nixpkgs evaluation can fail for quite some time (~weeks), or my overlays (because I set local sources that don't necessarily exist across my different computers, I now conditionnaly define them though to prevent errors). In such cases, nix-index fails to build the DB and so I am unable to use nix-locate.
